Postcards

Some picture postcard views of Menton & the Cote d'Azur, between c1900 and c1950. Menton was popular with British visitors 'over wintering', including Queen Victoria who had a station built. Although not mentioned in her books it is highly likely that Sir John & Winifred would have made a visit.

Rear of the card from 1919, Menton Allee des Palmiers. Intersting because of the lovely handwriting to a Nice address and also the stamp of the 'Bataillon de Chasseurs Alpins'.
